Mode S/IFF Lightweight Transponder
The LTR 400 is the world's smallest (124 x 130 x 221.6 mm) and lightest (2.8 kg) transponder. It can be used without restrictions for both civilian air traffic control and military applications to identify friendly units. It has both Mode S Level2 (EHS) and Mode 5 Level 2 capabilities. The LTR 400 has a civil EASA certification (ETSO) which means that platform integration and qualification is easier.
Because the LTR 400 Transponder is small and leight-weight, it is very suitable for use in UAVs, small helicopters and small aircrafts.
