ASR-NG

Airport Surveillance System

The ASR-NG or ASR-E Next Generation airport surveillance radar was developed especially to meet the requirements of military customers.

It is the next generation radar solution and it incorporates new options for air traffic control and safe guidance during take-off and landing.

ASR-NG is a 2 D S – band solid state approach control primary surveillance radar. It implements a fully digital Doppler detection and tracking radar and has the most flexible, self-learning clutter and site optimisation capabilities.

This new state-of-the-art radar can recognize the smallest as well as the biggest targets with excellent detection performance. Its no-blind speed coverage ranges from 0 to 1,200 knots. It has a six-level weather detection capability.

The ASR-NG has the unique capability to classify bird migrations, thus giving controllers the opportunity to warn pilots in the affected area in time.

The ASR-NG has been specified, designed, developed, manufactured, installed and commissioned in accordance with the highest international safety standards and requirements.
