Air Operation System of Systems is a solution in the CASSIDIAN Real-time Engagement & Command solution line, enabling the management of airspaces across large states and/or regions focussing on strategic planning.

The Large System Integration (LSI) approach of this solution relies on long-term experience in France and Germany. The design of such a large system takes advantage of key reusable assets capitalized by CASSIDIAN, such as:

• APF- Advanced Product Family, an open and generic software toolset, based on network-centric architecture concepts. APF Application software provides the core operational and technical services (e.g. threat evaluation, multi sensor fusion, identification, …). APF Infrastructure middleware provides common services and manages the interdisciplinary data exchange between applications.
• DIONISoS®: Secured and Distributed Information Framework for Systems of Systems. First deployed for the French Air Force, the DIONISoS® framework is reusable for the development of large Air Operations Systems of Systems.
