Projectable Telecommunications Network-IP
This solution meets the communication needs of a deployed force of several hundred users spread over a zone tens of kilometres in diameter. The system, whose elements are housed in rugged transit cases, is designed to cope with extreme environmental and operating conditions. It enables users to transmit voice and data information using radio and telephone terminals.
The PTN solution is composed of radio, telephone and transmission subsystems. The radio and telephone elements may be used either separately or together. The solution, which is housed in a number of separate transit cases, may be assembled in a wide variety of configurations. Individual radio and telephone terminals and their accessories are transported in a range of transit cases, whereas the masts and antennae are stored in special bags. A battery container and a power generator are also available as options. The system covers up to thirteen zones, with each site providing radio coverage over a radius of 10 to 20 km, depending on the topology of the terrain. The network topology may be meshed in order to secure the links.
