The Friendly Force Tracking Solution enables vehicle tracking, message exchanges and Common Operational Picture (COP) management. This system contributes not only to security borders and territory, but also sensitive sites, thanks to the integration of an information system in vehicles (patrols, police and security forces), and projectable systems capable of communicating with military or civil command centres.

The system is made up of several elements:

• A communication system combining different transmission media through an automated switch capability based on PMR (Tetra or Tetrapol), satellite communications, Combat Network Radios as well as COTS solutions (WIMAX, etc.)
• An information system, based on IMPACT® technology, using different hardware solutions: PC servers for HQ level, touch screen tablet PC for vehicle level, PDA for infantryman level, transponder with emergency button
• A user-friendly man-machine interface which is easily configurable and use of message preformatting
• Secure communications with "over the air" key management service
