CASSIDIAN and APSI extend their cooperation from TETRA terminals to TEDS modems
Cassidian, an EADS company, and the Korean equipment manufacturer Asia Pacific Satellite communications Inc. (APSI) have started pre-interoperability (IOP) tests between TETRA networks from Cassidian and ATP7000 TEDS modems from APSI. The cooperation aims to develop TETRA- and TEDS-enabled modem products that address the critical data transfer needs of a range of industries. Thus, the companies are expanding their existing partnership in developing TETRA terminals to include TEDS technology and data-oriented products for stationary applications, such as smart grids, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and sensor networks.

CASSIDIAN introduces new slim and light TETRA radio model TH1n
At the TETRA World Congress (TWC) in Dubai, Cassidian has launched its new slimline TETRA radio called TH1n – the first in a completely new class of pocket-sized TETRA radios. Its classy, elegant design also sets it apart from conventional Professional Mobile Radios, with its metallic finish and well-formed, rubber-coated sides. At the same time, the TH1n still retains the same large, bright colour display already familiar from previous Cassidian radio models.

CASSIDIAN launches TB3s TETRA base station with broadband inside
Cassidian has launched the TB3s TETRA base station, which can be fitted with broadband Long Term Evolution (LTE) carriers. TB3s offers a smooth upgrade path to tomorrow’s communication networks of Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) users. It includes the same powerful features as other TB3 series TETRA base stations, guarantees the same utter reliability, and it can also comfortably house broadband LTE eNode equipment that enables LTE communications in addition to regular TETRA services.

Cassidian, an EADS company, and Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) are to enhance safety and operations for public safety agencies, energy and transport companies with the launch of a new solution called ‘Evercor’. Based on 4G LTE technology, it enables the use of video, data and other media to improve the way security professionals serve and protect their communities.

CASSIDIANs small high-capacity TETRA switch The DXT3c
At the TETRA World Congress (TWC) in Dubai, Cassidian has unveiled the DXT3c TETRA switch, which offers complete functionality in a compact form. The new DXT3c switch is as small as the familiar TB3 base station and one third the size of the powerful DXT3 switch. Thanks to its high capacity and full functionality, the compact DXT3c switch is an attractive choice for applications such as airports and harbours, metro lines, large towns and small cities. It can also be deployed to provide temporary coverage where needed.
