The FMD Programme
FMD is the EADS Corporate development programme to enhance financial know-how combined with further learning of management and leadership competencies.
STRUCTURE
The FMD Programme is one of our EADS Corporate Development Programmes. Under the sponsorship of our CFO, Hans Peter Ring, EADS Corporate Finance and EADS Competency Development coordinate your future career.
Designed to enable its participants to enhance their financial know-how and expertise, combined with further learning of management and leadership competencies, the FMD Programme aims at developing talented managers.
With FMD, EADS responds to an increased demand within the company for highly qualified and international finance professionals who are proficient in management.
The 18-month FMD Programme is based on two to three individually tailored project assignments in different Business Units and/or HQ functions of the EADS Group. The programme gives talents the opportunity to further broaden their financial expertise and develop their leadership and business skills.
In addition, all FMD participants take part in a team project. The results of this collaborative work are presented at one of the most important finance conferences of the year. This team project is dedicated to a stage in a strategic finance topic.
Another team task is designing and conducting the FMD Forum, a regularly held finance conference, which enables discussion and exchange on a specific topic at EADS level, also integrating external knowledge and best practices.
Off-the-job modules are designed to strengthen participants' personal, management, leadership, financial and technical competencies. A job-shadowing experience completes the off-the-job learning, during which participants follow a top finance manager or CFO for a week to share their daily activities and duties (Job Shadowing).
During the entire FMD Programme, participants are accompanied by a personal mentor, who provides them with guidance and support.
